About
Izzy Liberti is a multi-media artist working across the mediums of printmaking, animation, installation, and ceramics. Born and raised in New Jersey, her work considers emotional, surreal, or complicated urban environments and asks how these spaces manage to provoke simultaneous, yet dissonant emotions — isolation and intimacy, familiarity and complexity, or optimism and insecurity. Using a combination of two- and three-dimensional mediums allows her to express this tension and disorientation found in the modern built environment and its psychological effect on us through the confounding of the mediums themselves. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
